The Nutcracker provides a visual fantasyland of Christmas magic on stage. Basing on a story originally written in 1816 by German novelist E.T.A. Hoffman and later adapted by French writer Alexander Dumas, Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893) wrote his most famous ballet towards the end of his life. The Nutcracker follows the adventures of Clara, a young German girl whose godfather presents her with a magical nutcracker for a Christmas gift. She dreams of a Nutcracker Prince and a fierce battle against a Mouse King with seven heads. This royal battle is also the Nutcracker theme. Enhancing the Nutcracker is the variety of dance numbers in this production that will surely entertain all the lovers of the ballet, yet, children will delight to see the roles played by characters like mice, wooden soldiers and a sugar plum fairy concurrent with the nutcracker theme.

Whether at the game, or out with friends, Yankee fans can root for New York Yankees in style by wearing the New York Yankees jersey which is made of resilient polyester for a comfortable feel on and off the field. There are many shops selling New York Yankees jersey decorated in the team colors. Yankees uniform with the pinstripes is probably the most famous of all the other sports uniforms. The New York Yankees' home uniform is white with navy blue pinstripes, and an interlocking "NY" on the left side. The Yankees uniforms do not have player names on them, harkening back to the past. Their away uniform is gray with the words New York written right across the chest in navy blue and navy blue trimmings at the end of the sleeves. With the exception of minor alterations including bolder pinstripes in the forties the Yankee uniform has remained unchanged for more than 60 years and has, of course, grown into another of the team's great traditions.
